Arthur C. Clarke

In my spare time over the past year, I worked on this portrait study intermittently—depicting my favorite science fiction writer, Sir Arthur C. Clarke. Being able to devote time to personal creation alongside busy commercial projects is truly a joyful experience.

Apart from the CG books on the bookshelf (all of which are works by Arthur C. Clarke), all models and textures were created entirely by hand. One of the main goals of this piece was to challenge myself to craft every detail manually, from the pores and wrinkles on the face to the embroidery on the tie. It was indeed a process that demanded great patience and keen observation.
